Additionally, dual tweeters at the top of the array ensure less obstructed coverage of the listening space. The tweeters are aimed at a 10° down angle, facilitating down-tilted coverage even when the cabinet is flat against the wall. With a shallow cabinet depth of 3.7 inches (93 mm), it qualifies for ADA projects when installed flush to the wall.

Moreover, the 60-watt multi-tap transformer allows for use on either 70V or 100V distributed speaker lines, with a switchable 8-ohm operation. This configuration provides power handling of 150W continuous (600W peak, 2 hrs). The frequency range of 85 Hz to 20 kHz delivers clean, clear sound for music or speech. Additionally, versatile installation is made possible with two included L-brackets.

These brackets can be installed on the top and bottom panels for horizontal pan aiming or on the side panels. Furthermore, this setup allows for close-to-the-wall installation. A low-profile swivel/tilt wall bracket is included, adding up to 10° down-tilt to the cabinet aim. This complements the built-in 10° down-tilt aim when the speaker is installed flat to the wall.

The JBL COL800 Column Loudspeaker boasts an IP54 rating (per IEC60529) for protection against dust and water ingress. The drivers are water-treated, the grille features a water-backing, and a cover protects the input terminals. Available in black (JBL-COL800-BK) or white (JBL-COL800-WH), the COL800 suits any professional environment.
